Robert A. DeRice D.M.D.

Dr. Robert DeRice is a Portland native. He is a graduate of Cheverus High School, Bowdoin College, and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He is a general dentist who began practicing in Portland in 1977. Dr. DeRice was the team dentist for the American Hockey League team, the Maine Mariners, from 1977 through 1988. From 1978 through 1985 he was a specialist consultant to the Maine State Medical Examiner as a forensic dentist. Dr. DeRice has always been involved with computers and was co-founder of a company which developed dental office software. Additionally, starting in 1988, Dr. DeRice has been a specialist consultant to three major insurance carriers. After taking a few years off from dentistry to build the Woodlands Golf Course, Dr. DeRice opened his new office, Portland North Dental Associates, in 1991.

Peter C. LeBourdais D.M.D.

Dr. Peter LeBourdais, a Brunswick native, is a general dentist who began his practice in 1977. Dr. LeBourdais maintains a separate, full-time practice in Brunswick. However, he comes to the Portland office once a month to accommodate those patients who have moved to the Portland area. Dr. LeBourdais is also the covering dentist for Portland North Dental Associates. He is a graduate of Cheverus High School, Holy Cross and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

Amanda, an R.D.H.

Amanda joined the Portland North Dental Associates team in 2007. She is the full-time dental hygienist, in charge of each patient’s hygiene appointments as well as their periodontal health. She received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene Degree from the Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists in Boston.

Maureen

Maureen joined Portland North Dental Associates in 2001. She has been a dental assistant in general dentistry and orthodontics since 1995. She is a graduate of Scarborough High School and the University of Southern Maine, with a degree in Therapeutic Recreation. She attended Dental Careers Institute in 1994 and is radiograph certified.

Christine

Christine is the front desk/office manager, handling all of Portland North Dental Associate’s patient affairs. She also fills in as a chairside assistant, as needed, and is radiograph certified. She is a graduate of Stevens High School, Rapid City, South Dakota and attended the University of Southern Maine. Christine has worked for Portland North Dental since 1993.

Janessa

Janessa joined Portland North Dental in August of 2009. With experience working for a dental lab as well as different types of dental offices including pediatric and orthodontic offices, Janessa has a wide range of dental knowledge and experience.
